Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Folk Space. By using our website, booking a class, or attending a session, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before participating in any of our offerings.

1. General Use of Website

This website and its content are owned and operated by Folk Space.
By accessing or using our site, you agree to use it for lawful purposes only and not to engage in any activity that may harm, disrupt, or interfere with its functioning.

All text, images, class descriptions, and materials on this site are the intellectual property of Folk Space and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without permission.

2. Bookings and Payments

All class bookings, passes, and memberships must be made through our approved booking system [insert system name, e.g. Momence].
Payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise stated.

We reserve the right to change class times, instructors, or schedules. If a class is cancelled by Folk Space, you will receive a class credit or refund as applicable.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellations must be made within the time frame stated on our booking platform (8 hours before class).
Late cancellations or no-shows will result in forfeiting the class or being charged a cancellation fee (for pilates only)

Memberships and class passes are non-refundable and non-transferable unless required by law or at our discretion under special circumstances.

4. Health and Safety

Participation in yoga, Pilates, and movement classes involves physical activity and carries inherent risks.

By attending a class, you confirm that you are physically fit to participate and have disclosed any injuries, conditions, or health concerns that may affect your ability to do so safely.

Please work within your own limits and listen to your body. Inform your instructor before class if you have any injuries, medical conditions, or concerns.

Folk Space and its instructors are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur during or after participation, except where required by Australian Consumer Law.

5. Accessibility and Inclusivity

Folk Space is committed to providing an inclusive and supportive environment for all participants.

We have disabled access at the studio. If you have specific accessibility needs, please contact us before attending so we can guide you to the most suitable class options and ensure the right support is in place.

We also offer discounted memberships and passes for those experiencing financial hardship — please reach out to discuss confidentially.

6. Conduct and Respect

We ask that all visitors respect the studio space, teachers, and fellow participants.

Folk Space reserves the right to refuse entry or ask anyone to leave if behaviour is unsafe, disrespectful, or disruptive to others.

7. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Any personal information collected through our website or booking system is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Folk Space, its owners, and instructors are not responsible for any direct, indirect, or incidental injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in our classes, workshops, or events.

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
